Z doesn't take reservations but we didn't have to wait long - it was a Sunday evening and we were just two so that might have been it. The waiter was a crusty but friendly sort. The food itself was ok - we had a couple of the specials on the tapas menu including the octopus among a few other small plates. Nothing stood out to me except that this seemed to be "regulars" place, one that you get comfortable with, perhaps if you live in the neighborhood. In short, if you're passing by and want to go in, its worth it. If you're making a special trip and need to fight to get parking, maybe not.

“Very Enjoyable”
Reviewed December 20, 2013 via mobile

Traveling with our 10 year old twins, We were looking for a nice, neighborhood restaurant with something to please everyone. This Spanish Tapas restaurant fit the bill. They don't take reservations but we got there at 6:30, just ahead of the crowd - and by 7 it was crowded and a bit noisy. Service, although it became rushed, could't have been more pleasant and helpful. The menu of many small plates gave us plenty of choices for all and ensured there were things the kids would like. We started with olives, grilled calamari (which was excellent), Spanish chorizo, baked goat cheese and potato wedges with crusty bread. We followed with large plates of lamb chops and grilled prawns which were enough for all to share. In addition, our son had a small plate of sea bass that was a tiny portion - perhaps 3 oz. - but perfect for him. The lamb, prawns and sea bass all came with veggies. Everything was very good. We ended by sharing a very tasty bread pudding. We would definitely return and next time order the paella at the outset as it takes extra time to prepare and the kids were too tired to wait.

“Great atmosphere”
Reviewed December 16, 2013

Very busy little tapas restaurant, we had to wait for a table which was fine as we could sit outside and watch the world go by on Hyde Street.
As soon as they could a very helpful waiter seated us inside and we had a meal of tasty and well cooked/presented tapas and a lovley Rioja.
Great experience!
