Amazing in every regard. Acquerello understands taste, temperature, texture, color, balance, and fragrance at such an intimate elevated level you'll think it was divinely inspired. Impossible to pick a favorite course from my 10 plus plate Tasting Menu (and the additional off Menu surprises). I'm not going to brag about all the cool places I eat because honestly there are not many Restaurants at this level regardless of where you are in the world. It's clever, the ingredients shine and it feels slightly old school...that is until you wrap your brain around the ebony bowl of delicate dashi broth and sweet briny par cooked prawn, reinvented "foie gras"
sauce that gently coats your tongue with just the right amount of butter and cream, bean "risotto", brioche toast with airy truffle...Gorgeous food that
will amaze and delight your palate.
Dessert, cheese and Wine as brilliant as the food (unimprovable). Pairings are exceptional and not an easy task with many of the dishes but perfect. Background on the wines was interesting but geared more towards someone that doesn't know a thing about wine or a cork dork that doesn't know how to converse about anything else.
Service is all around excellent from start to finish.
