Food: We came here for Sunday brunch and it was just OK. I had been here previously for dinner which was better but this review is for brunch only.
1) Noe Valley Scramble - 3 organic eggs, green tomatoes, bacon, and jack cheese served with wheat toast and roasted potatoes. The eggs were very moist and good but I wasn't a big fan of the green tomatoes in the scramble. The roasted potatoes were very good.
2) Makena (Banana-Stuffed French Toast with Mascarpone Cheese and Coconut Syrup) - Honestly, I was a bit disappointed. The french toast was moist and flavorful but the syrup just didn't do it for me--it was rather bland and not sweet, kind of more like coconut milk than syrup. I've had some really great coconut syrup in Hawaii so this was a bit of a let down.
Service: No complaints.
Value: It came to about $35 for 2 entrees and 2 coffees which is pretty standard for the area.
Atmosphere: This place is so tiny and you basically are sitting with the people at the tables next to you because they try to fit way too many tables in there for the space they have. There was a 30 min wait for brunch.
Conclusion: OK brunch (better dinner) but I probably won't go back for brunch any time soon.
