“Tiny hole in the wall place with great food and excellent prices.”
Reviewed May 26, 2013

Great little hole in the wall place. Chicken Satay, Larb and Tom Ka Gai soup were great. The atmosphere is almost nonexistent. You can see the actual fuse box from the dining area, but the food and the energy was fabulous.

“Really fresh and cheap”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

We got into San Francisco late and made our way down to Chabaa Thai around 10pm. You're going for the food, not the atmosphere. It's a bit cramped, but to me, that's part of being in the middle of the city. We really loved the hot and sour soup. It had so many different flavors! The beers were great, too. And our food came out quickly. Our bill was incredibly inexpensive too.

“Thai food heaven in a very small place”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

Chabaa is the very picture of a neighborhood Thai cafe a short walk away from Union Square. It's almost literally a hole in the wall -- seating is very limited -- but the service is friendly and fast and the classic Thai dishes (especially the Pad Se-Yew) are excellent. They mix it up with novel and fusion offerings too, but the classics are their greatest strength. I hope they'll become successful enough to grow much bigger but never lose their neighborhood feel.

“Delicious Thai”
Reviewed March 28, 2013

We had the yellow curry with chicken, Tom Kai (sp?) soup, and the mixed appetizer delivered to our rental condo. The soup and the curry were both excellent. We were a tad disappointed in the appetizer (in particular, the fried tofu was a let down) but would come back again for the entrees. The delivery service was quick and friendly
