“Average”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 8, 2013

Given all the TA hype. We went here. The 2 1/2 hour wait was a total waste of time for us on holiday & therefore limited time. Once we got the food, it was ok but pretty much average. Maybe in Melbourne we are spoilt for Asian, but the time wasted here was annoying.

“Great food - make sure you get lotus chips”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 6, 2013

Great food and reasonable prices, but you have to go early or on week days, otherwise be prepared for a line! Lotus chips are very good as well as the young coconut drink to have at the end. At least give it a try!

“Delicous”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 6, 2013

My friend lives around the corner and insisted we eat here. I'm a fan of both thai and indian and found this food to be similarly delicious. They don't take reservations and you have to add your name to the waiting list. We walked down the road to a nearby bar, left our cell phone number, and returned when they called. I think the wait time was about 20 minutes on a sunday night.

We had an order of vegetarian samusas, tea leaf salad, coconut rice, tofu & okra, and vegetable curry. Everything was delicious and fresh. The stand-outs are definitely the salad and tofu & okra. The salad is chopped and mixed at your table. It has a nice blend of textures and flavors. The tofu & okra almost had a barbecue quality to it. The okra was all fresh and tender.

The service was quick and friendly. If i lived in SF, i would eat here regularly.

“You have to try it!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 2, 2013

This was our second visit to Burma Superstar and we were not disappointed. The lamb curry and coconut rice are a MUST try for every diner. Even if you're unsure of lamb, try it! It will melt in your mouth. The pork and pumpkin was also delicious. Great beer and the Sangria is yummy! Go for lunch if you want to avoid a crowd and the prices are reasonable! Enjoy!!!
