The restaurant is off the beaten path north of Golden gate park. Had a wonderful late lunch at this great little restaurant. We were seated immediately without reservations(they don't take them!).

We had the fried yellow bean tofu appetizer. Crispy outside and creamy inside. Different texture than any tofu that I have had. Loved it!

Daughter had the Burmese samusas and really enjoyed them. She also had the Garlic noodles.

We had the vegetarian versions of the Samusa soup and Rainbow salad. These are 2 of the top dishes that they serve here. Ask for them spicy! The flavors are amazing!

This place is a must stop!

Great Thai/Burmese food and the very best Thai iced tea you'll have in the US. Their coconut soup (not sure what else is in it) is simply incredible.

This place has *the* amazing food for a Burmese restaurant. It's not an upscale place and the prices are very moderate for the superb quality of food.

We went there on a Sat nite and this place has some serious wait times and it doesn't take reservations. If this rubs you the wrong way, don't even consider this place for a weekend. We went there and they had a 2 hour wait - so, we put our name on the list and went Union Square to roam around.

When we came back and had the food, we didn't even regret it one bit. The food is off-the-hook.

Here are the list of dishes we had and most were absolutely amazing.
- Tea Leaf Salad (featured on multiple TV shows)
- Samusa soup: it's the indian snack in a soup format. interesting and pretty good
- Platha w/ dip: this was prolly the only thing we didn't fancy as much. Too oily for all of us
- Shrimp/Chicken burmese style casserole: Off the hook and amazing. Pretty close to an indian biryani
- Shrimp in burma curry sauce: Amazing to taste - prolly the best we had
- Fiery Chicken w/ beans: Pretty good

We also tried the Burma Cooler (beer, lemon and ginger) and Kung Fu Mojito (made with Soju) and both were refreshingly new for us.

Overall, it's amazing food in a place with good service. Wish they could get a bigger place or take reservations to avoid the wait times.

I'm only intown for a week and love trying lots of new restaurants. I ate here on Sunday night and it was so good that I'm going to eat there again tonight. Kent gave great service with masterful recommendations. I can't wait to eat there again.
