The food was great, the ciopino was delicious and fresh. The house brewed beer was good as well. The prices were about average for the area. We were told we would have a view of the bridge though and when we were seated were told all of the view tables were taken so I was a little disappointed at that but it was still a nice dinner.

We grabbed crab sandwiches and Coronas to eat on the pier. The Coronas were great! The crab salad was tasteless, but the birds enjoyed the bread...years ago this meal was a treat...now, save your money.

If you are wandering Fishersn's Whatf and want a good meal, go upstairs at Alioto's (it is more formal than the casual cafe outside) and read with some good food! We were not dressed fancy, and did not feel out of place. We had the Calimari Sicilian style, crab appetizer, grilled halibut, trout, and the three fish combo dish, all we're very good.....service was very good also. Great view of the harbor so bring your camera!

I can not recommend this restaurant.
The food was okay but not worth the prices.
The service was really bad with waitress telling me how much i must leave in tip.
Thery try to foul you with put extra food on your bill to pay for things you did not ordering.

What we had was a Fine dining experience. The service was outstanding and the food was fantastic. I had the swordfish sampler which was the finest meal I had in S.F. Yes, it is going to cost a little more, but this is not fast food. It was worth every penny and I'd eat here again in a heartbeat. The menu had so many great choices that there was a lot of food envy going around our table when all the entries arrived.. It was an elegant setting but not snooty or pretentious. Our waiter, Tim, was most excellent and was very attentive even though it was crowded. This was a total 180 f'rom the restaurant next door; the view, the food, and the service made it a outstanding dinner. This is a true San Francisco dining event. Fine dining at it's Best!
