“Amazing Spanish food in town”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2013 via mobile

Went here to celebrate my August bday fds. Glad that we made a resevation a day ahead. There was a line when we got there around 7pm. This place was pretty big and well designed. There was a guy playing guitar, but it was loud for us because what we really wanted was enjoy the food and talk.

Anyways, the food was pretty good. We had spicy potatoes, fried calamri, Almejas A La Marinera, oyster, some sausage, and the seafood Paella. Highly recommend the spicy potato and seafood Paella. Portion was kinda small. Good service and nice environment for groups.

“Great value, good food, authentic tapas”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2013

After traveling to Spain last year, my husband and I have been hooked on Spanish food. At the recommendation of a friend, we tried this and was not disappointed. Their Jamon iberico with tomato spread and olive oil was delicious, the rabo stew was tasty and a good portion for the price, their sangria was strong and the patatas brava had a spicy sauce that reminded us of Barcelona. It may look like a hole in the wall from the outside but don't be fooled. This is a really good restaurant.

“Great place for some authentic food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2013

We stumbled across this place in the Mission as it seemed to be packed out with a great atmosphere. We were not disappointed, the food was delicious home cooked style with a true authentic taste of Spain.
Ordered the Meatballs, Garlic chicken and Potatoes in garlic mayo. All were perfect, the girlfriend had some grilled Salmon which she also enjoyed. The glass of Sangria went down a treat.
Friendly staff and excellent menu. Kitchen closes at 2230 like everywhere else. Overall highly recommended.

“Aioli, Sherry, Seafood, & Bands of Traveling Musicians”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 21, 2013

Whenever I stay with my friend in the Mission we go herer for Tapas.
The rabbit is yummy. The squid crisp, tender , and sweet. Yummy lamb. It is always rocking, lots of lovers and families , and friends enjoying good food. You can eat quite reasonably here. You can speak Spanish and listen to various bands as they come in and entertain. Once there was the most amazing flamenco guitarist. I live in the country so it is a nice contrast to expensive, touristy, California cuisine that we have in Mendocino. Buen Provecho....

“Great Before Theater Seafood Dinner”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 6, 2013

Located less than 1/2 block from The Marsh, a good option for before theater dinner - also a good time to get a table before the crowds descend. Ordered the Parrillada De Mariscos (Grilled Seafood Platter With Calamari, Shrimp, Jumbo Tiger Shrimp, Clams, Mussels , Scallops, and Snapper. $26) and shared by two. Price is less than on web ($30) and no salmon. Add a salad (again, can easily be shared) and it is a perfect dinner. Enjoyed the GL Marques Caceres Rioja - wine smooth with body - at a fantastic price point ($5.75) - much better than many glasses sold elsewhere in $12-15 range. Staff very friendly, but they get busy and sometimes hard to get their attention. Noise level very high (loud!).
