It was too expensive for lunch. Everything is separate. And small portions. They should at least offer dal for customers to try. They don't explain the Indian cuisine experience at all.

We'd read the glowing reviews and it was an okay place, though not quite to my taste. Everything was fresh and the prices were reasonable. The servers were friendly and efficient. I'm not an expert on Indian cuisine but I know what I like and thought this was good enough, but not a place I crave returning to. The nan, however, was fantastic.

My girlfriend and I recently visited San Fran. We arrived late on a Friday evening and were tired and really hungry. We decided that we fancied an Indian and ended up in New Delhi as it looked really nice from outside...bad mistake on our parts.

The service was absolutely terrible. When we were seated we were left waiting about ten minutes before anybody came near us to take our orders, despite it being quite obvious we were ready. There were a number of the waiting staff just standing around doing nothing, the restaurant was pretty quite with most of the tables being empty. Eventually we ordered...then the real waiting began.

We waited forty minutes and there was still no sign of our order. People had come in after us and ordered after us and their orders were out and they were eating. Even though we were sitting there for forty minutes, none of the staff came over to us to offer an explanation or an apology. In retrospect we should've just walked out.

Eventually I called one of the waiting staff over and asked about our order. There was again no explanation or apology, she just said that she'd check with the kitchen. Eventually ten minutes after this and about 50 minutes after ordering our food arrived.

Unfortunately the food was not worth the wait. My girlfriend works with an Indian woman who is an excellent cook, so she's used to really delicious Indian dishes. Unfortunately what we got tasted like it came out of a jar...in fact I wouldn't be surprised if this is exactly where it did come from. Both our dishes were extremely bland with none of the spicy and vibrant flavours you expect from a good Indian dish.

All in all this was the worst dining experience both of us have had, well probably, ever. Do not try this restaurant unless you want terrible service and extremely bland food!

We ordered 3 entrees for charing: Tandoori Chicken, Chicken Masala and a special dish called Murg Akbari, everything was delicious, but the Murg Akbari is a magnificent preparation with a delicate flavor I highly recommend this restaurant great food, nice atmosphere and good service.
