“First class”

Excellent food, staff and environment make this a must for me in San Francisco. Always fresh and interesting choices. Served in a classic location just off Union Square you just can't leave this off your list.

“A new form of Halibut?”
Reviewed May 10, 2013

My wife and I stopped in her to get a drink and a snack to watch the crowd walk down Powell in early evening. While the place had a nice ambiance we found the drinks (Lemon Drop & Whiskey) to be watered down (weak), and our choice of the Halibut special was a fish that was not Halibut. I eat Halibut around once or twice this time of year at our home base in Portland, and fish we were served was some form of Rockfish. When I asked our waitress "are you sure this is Halibut" she insisted that it was, and that other customers were confused on that topic as well. Service was just ok, and we ended up both very disappointed.

“Great dinner in a great setting!”
Reviewed April 25, 2013 via mobile

We had a four- course catered dinner as a surprise for my sister-in-law's birthday at Kuleto's. The service was SUPERB,..it couldn't have been better, the setting great, and the food FABULOUS! I would definitely eat here again when in the heart of Union Square.

“A nice restaurant with a high price tag”
Reviewed April 21, 2013

We had breakfast at Kuleto's which is located at the lobby of Villa Florence, the hotel we stayed for 4 nights. This place has been packed all time except this quiet Sunday morning. Crab Omelette was great ($19), Ham & Cheese Panini, decent ($13), along with coffee($3.75) and juice($2). Restaurant setting is very good, has an “open” kitchen. The food priced at the higher end. ($63, tax/tips included).
