We both had a Cheeseburger Classic. 15 dollars. 1/2 lb. Certified Angus Beef. Double Cheddar Cheese, Peanut Cole Slaw, Shoestrings, 1000 Island Dressing. Fries were a disappointment. Would go back for the Burger.

The Daily Grill is perfectly located for theaters and shopping, just one block off Union Square on Geary. The dining room is a treat--all dark woods and big booths, mirrors and vintage photos of folks having fun in bygone days. The food is a treat, too--classic comfort food, with some modern twists, and lower calorie versions for those wanting a healthier choice. Service is always friendly and attentive, and there is a pleasant friendly hum to the place. You can always count on the Daily Grill for a good meal.

While staying at the Handlery Union Square Hotel we went to the Daily Grill because of its convenient connection to the hotel lobby. We were extremely impressed with everything from the moment we entered. We were seated promptly in a comfortable booth. This is a very attractive restaurant, with high ceilings, nice furniture, good acoustics and perfect lighting. The server was very friendly and helpful throughout. The food was simply great. I had a crabmeat and shrimp omelet that is probably the best I have ever eaten. Everything was fresh and well-presented. Sometimes the things you simply stumble upon are the best. This is one "accident" I am very pleased to have experienced and will not hesitate to return next time I am in San Francisco.

We dined here at the recommendation of the concierge of our nearby hotel and we were not disappointed. We had the meatloaf and trout, and appreciated the ability to modify the sides to avoid carbs. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was a mix of nicely dressed patrons as well as the casual diner. We shared the key lime pie which was absolutely divine, carbs and all. I would definately eat here again.

Had breakfast here and wasn't wowed, but I ate here because they have a designated gluten free menu. That is nice. Food wasn't bad, but a little blah. No potatoes with breakfast, just fruit (although it was extremely high quality fruit). Not a bad place to eat, just not sure it is as special as other places might be.
