Husband thought the food was some of the best we have had on our trip to San Francisco. Wife thought her dish was too spicy/hot. But let it be said, she is a total wimp when it come to spicy.
We actually ate here twice because the food is really good and there are items on the menu that are not spicy at all. Be sure to ask if you you have a low tolerance for spicy food. The second visit please both parties!
Service is good - but you place your order at the welcome desk. Very casual.
And the prices here are great. Reasonable and the portions are decent. The wraps are huge!

No frills here for sure. No alcohol either. The Indian food is high quality, amazing robust flavors, so affordable!! Seemed like all locals except for us!

My wife an i visited the restaurant twice (lunch and dinner) during our 5 day stay in San Fransisco city. The restaurant is at a comfortable walking distance from/to union square.

You first order your food at your counter and the food will be served to your table. You pay after you eat.

We had paneer tikka masala, Naan and Tandoori chicken. The food was served fast. The portions were good for both of us. The food was delicious.

I visited for my 4/5 time tonight and yet again I was not disappointed. Although the decor is tired and verging on scruffy in places! The food soon makes you forget all about that! Once again we ordered far too much but left satisfied after having only parted with $30 for a huge meal that was great!
I will be visiting again next time I am in town.

On first glance the decor is very tired, and the staff seem unfriendly. However you soon realize that the servers are running around crazy busy and when you actually engage them they are friendly and have a good sense of humor. The decor is soon made up by the fact that the food is awesome. I can not understand how anyone can say the food is bland or tasteless??? Genuinely one of the best indian/pakistani meals i have had. Two of us went completely crazy and had a Naan bread, Biriyani, Curry dish, Tandoori and a traditional kebab. Oh and Mango chutney. Somehow we managed to eat the vast majority and when we came to pay we only owed $30. Unbelievably amazing meal for amazing value. Can't wait to get back when i'm next in town.
