“Food fantastic ... but watch out for the dodgy wine service”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 6, 2012 via mobile

Great food, friendly service, but be careful of the wine choice. We went twice in a week 'cause the food was so good, just to find we'd been ripped off on our last visit over the wine of our choice not being available and realising we'd been overcharged for the suggested replacement. The food was worth the return visit. Great Tiramisu as you'd expect from the name of the place and the mozzarella and tomato salad was to die for.

“Great find”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 28, 2012

We were staying at the nearby Omni hotel and were having an issue finding a place to eat. Unfortunately being a Sunday night in the financial district, there were very few restaurants open. The hotel suggested that we go to nearby Belden Lane, because there were a few restaurants there. We found several, all with great menus and we decided to go here.

This was one of the highlights of our trip to San Francisco. This is a quaint Italian restaurant that is hidden in an alley. The food and service was fantastic. Its hard to find, but its worth it.

“Nice Italian food in quaint locale”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 22, 2012

Belden Place is a small alley lined with interesting little restaurants; most with indoor and outdoor seating. After walking the length of the alley, reviewing all of the menus, we chose Tiramisu. This was a good choice for our tastes. The indoor seating area is small and quaint, reminiscent of an Italian trattoria. The menu has a nice selection of pastas and entrees. We had the sea bass and pork. Both dishes were fantastic. Service staff, including the owner, were very attentive. Great find in the financial district!

“Memorable”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 21, 2012

Excellent experience from beginning to end. The quaint, not quite kitschy interior is relaxing and comfortable. Very good wine list, and service that is perfectly timed and welcoming. The pappardelle Bolognese was delicious, the short ribs to die for. - the sauce! All paired well with a hearty Valpolicella, and the dessert was over the top. Great gelato!

“The Culinary Highlight of our Trip!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 10, 2012

We didn't seem to have much luck with San Francisco's food scene, but Tiramisu was definatly the highlight! Great atmosphere and friendly service - it reminded us of Italy! The food was spectacular! I had the sweet potato ravioli and would have it again everytime I went back. Definatly worth checking out!
