We were staying across the street at The Orchard Hotel and wanted to grab a quick and easy late dinner one night, so we wandered over to Uncle Vito's. We ordered pizza to go and took it back to our hotel room to eat. It was surprisingly good. Reasonable prices. One thing we found surprising/disappointing - they did not have green olives available as a topping - bummer, as they taste so good with sausage, beef, or pepperoni.

You walk up to it and think - i think not. However, it has been recommended and there is a queue to get in - always a good sign. glad we stayed, the service is very good, the food is excellent value and very tasty. No frills but cost reflects that. Give it a whirl on the corner of bush and Powell

My husband, myself and our 15 year old son ate here 2 nights while we were in San Francisco. The lasagna is excellent, and everything else we tried was very good too. Only downside (but probably for the best) is the hike back up the hill to the Intercontinental Nob Hill after eating Italian food and wine, and being full!
