Great pizza, recommend the meat-lovers. Good place for families, not too big but larger than most in the neighborhood.

“Interesting Name...Very Good Pizza”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 17, 2013

We were visiting San Francisco and were looking for pizza delivery. We didn't want the national chain, so we found a local spot. Goat Hill was an established restaraunt in the community with an interesting name and menu. We ordered a couple of pizzas, salad, and bread. The food was delicious. They use sour dough crust which made for a great pizza. I highly recommend Goat Hill.

“lots of choices”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 1, 2013

Ready for lunch and not sure what you want, try walking on 18th Street in Potrero Hill and you wont go hungry. Today we decided to go to an old favorite and have pizza, We hadn't been there in years and wow we were not disappointed. We ordered the special of the day and a salad. The pizza was bacon, red onions, and basil-probably the last thing that we would have ordered but loved it and would definitely order it again.

Great salad with artichoke hearts and lots of goodies.

We had no problem parking but I wouldn't be surprised if it is a little more difficult if you come for dinner. You won't be disappointed.

“Very Good Pizza”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 1, 2012

We have been ordering-from and going-to Goat Hill Pizza for well over 10 years. Consistently very good pizza. Solid, good ingredients, and delicious. They really know how to handle a crowd- and service is good. Parking is a challenge on Fri or Sat night.

“New Takeout on West Portal”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 6, 2012

We like this place. We know the people who run it and have been part of its culture since 1975. So when we heard they were going to open up an operation on our turf, we were thrilled. We wanted to be there for opening day but we were away on vacation.

So we fly back into town last week, and on day two back we decide to give the takeout a try. We have been regular customers of many of the local pizzas, but none compare with our two all time favorites - Goat Hill and Toto's (mind you, two different styles of pizza)

My pizza has always been linguica - even going back to the famed "San Leandro source". My wife likes hers with sausage and mushrooms so we always split it. We call in and are told "forty five minutes to an hour" which is pretty standard. They arrived about 40 minutes later. They also included eating utensils and toppings - something we have had problems using other pizza places. The pizza was hot; the sauce tasty, thick and familiar; cheese just right; and the two salads with their great italian dressing the same as the 18th and Conneticut standard. Of course we enjoy the pizza right from the oven, but heck, this is what it is - take out. But one of the best ways to test this pizza is the next day. Both Goat Hill and Toto's (Millbrae) taste just as good on day two. The same cannot be said for the other pizza places we have used (and no, I'm not going to diss them here). We will be calling on "The West Portal Goat", and bleating "neah" to the others.
