We wanted a dinner with friends, after a football game, and Paragon was a good choice since reservations were taken. Although crowded, and showing up early, they were able to seat us right away. Service was a bit leisurely, but we wanted to visit with our friends, so in this case it was ok. We enjoyed our dinners which included hanger steak, pan fried jack with vegetables, and flake. The warm chocolate brownie with ice cream was shared and just right to complete the meal. Under some circumstances this wouldn't have been enjoyable, but for us, it was fine. If you're coming here to eat & watch a game on TV - these are small & there aren't a lot of them.

We ate dinner at Paragon after a giants baseball game (it's only about 3-4 blocks away from AT&T park). The inside is very hip and beautifully modern.
The beef carpaccio is excellent. I ate the grilled cheese sandwich with ham, which was on delicious bread, just the right amount of cheese, and perfectly complemented by the ham. Yum! It also comes with a bowl of wonderful tomato soup.
My boyfriend had the pulled pork sliders, which were moist with a nice smoky flavor.
For dessert, I had the maple espresso pudding which was divine (especially if you like bread pudding). Pretty filling so best to share between two or more people (but so worth getting even if you're the only one who wants it!).

We ate here after sampling Paragon's food at an event at the SFMOMA, and it did live up to expectation.
Unfortunately we chose the night of a big ballgame, so it was a little rowdy, and our server seemed more interested in drinking than actually serving us.
We both ordered the prohibition beer, which was excellent, and both ordered the Grilled cheese and tomato soup combo. which was also excellent.
We actually shared an appetiser of mini corn dogs with a sauce that was pretty forgettable, although seemed a pretty good beer snack as we waited for our entree.
I'm not sure i'd eat here again, but would recommend to friends.

5 stars for the look of the restaurant. Very chic, especially the bar area.

3 stars for food.
The good stuff: mushroom cigars (unique), chicken salad sandwich (good combo of ingredients), creme brulee.
The so-so stuff: garlic fries, sauteed spinach.
The bad stuff: Cuban Sandwich (dry & bland), Fried Plantains (like dry fried dough).

2 stars for service. It took them a long time to notice we were waiting to be seated. They weren't even busy or anything. Just chatting at the bar. Then they messed up on our order. Then they charged us a dish we didn't order. I'm sure they didn't do any of these purposely. They just need to be more attentive to what they are doing.

It took them a
