“Exquisite seafood”
Reviewed January 27, 2013 via mobile

Farallon is exquisite seafood with excellent service. While the appetizers and desserts are always awesome, the entree can be a bit tricky at times especially with the portion size.

However, the overall decor and ambiance of the place make it worth going if you can fit the $$$$ in your budget!

“epitome of "get what you pay for"”
Reviewed January 26, 2013

My first three choices for a bar seat were full on a Saturday night, so I tried the raw bar here. They run a happy hour special with everything for $6. It felt like I was getting the leftovers as in "If you ordered the FULL PRICE meal, it would be much tastier.

The service was fairly prompt but mostly from the busboys. My waitress was nice but seemed like she didn't really want to be a waitress on a Saturday night.

The ambiance is quite nice though. A very cool vibe to the place. Maybe I shouldn't have done the cheap route.

Morton's was next door. I should have just done a steak there.

“Very expensive but worth it”

A upscale wonderful treat right off Union Square. The decor is wonderful, the service impeccable and the food is delicious. You have to be willing to spend $100 a person with wine.

“Deep see....”
Reviewed January 18, 2013

Slightly up a hill from Union Square is an undersea fantasy that serves fish and shell things as if they were directly poached by Neptune himself. The waiter could have been a bit more helpful with the fine menu and because it's a fish restaurant there could have been fish knives, or at least a change of knives between courses would have been appropriate.
