Great Ambience ! Excellent service, delicious food. Located in a quite alley in San Francisco. I enjoyed the fish and the desert. The soup was also very good, a little on the expensive side but worth every penny.

This joint is Swanky! Starting with a narrow alley, lit only by the flashing neon BIX sign tacked to its glowing brick structure, Bix sets the mood for a Cab Calloway/Miles Davis kind of evening. Then, once the door is cracked to this perfectly enriched venue, the waft of jazz, and coolness of decor swing right into your heart. This place is COOL. The Manhattans and giblets were served in modest stems. The menu was good enough; offering many attempts from the mainstream. The food was also good, not great, but good ain't bad. The quartet (not sure who) was perfect for the space. When on break, the background music maintained the mood. All in all, Bix is tough to beat. Highly recommend!

Our concierge recommended this place and wow it was fantastic. The food...service and atmosphere was really great. I love the live piano and the back alley entrance really lent to the whole experience. Get the lobster spaghetti!

Great space, very noisy, impossible to have a conversation. Food was certainly good but not exceptional (except for the creme boule and Gorgonzola mousse on the beet salad). Cheapest glass of wine was about $12. Located on an interesting narrow street. Specialty drinks were mediocre at best. Service was good and efficient.

My partner and I chose Bix for our Wedding Dinner (party of 5). We were married that afternoon -- small ceremony with just three friends. Bix did not disappoint. Although it is a bit loud, that is part of the fun. The art deco feel and wonderful art work harken back to the days of jazz, speakeasies and elegance. The service was fantastic and the food wonderful. The pork belly Bahn-Mi was delicious and the deviled eggs were creamy and rich -- a great way to start the meal. I was craving pasta, but also wanted fish, so my friend Denise and I split the Dorade and Lobster Spaghetti -- a great combination. Although the fish was a bit dry, it was flavorful and satisfying. The spaghetti was out of this world!!!! A great time in a fun and sophisticated atmosphere.
