We were shown this place by some friends who had previously been here and were very impressed! The pizza is a good price and tasted brilliant! The place is small and filled up quickly but they served hot pizza and cold beer so was really cool to spend time there. Definitely recommend having a slice if you're in the area.

Classic, thick late night squares of gooey, cheesy pizza. It was easy to get in and out and the slices were large and cheap.

The pizza here is really good. The pizza is thick and chewy. The crust has a nice crunch on the underside as your lower teeth bite upward. They make the pizza in rectangular sheets and cut into squares so try to get the middle slices! They DO NOT make custom orders (don't ask for 'no this' or 'extra that' because if you don't see it then it isn't going to happen. And try to get fresh slices (hang around 10-15 minutes and new sheets are brought out as old sheets quickly disappear) so the pizza doesn't have to be reheated.

We had 2 slices of the combination pizza (everything on it! Sausage, pepperoni, tomatoes, onions, cheese, etc. at $3.75/slice) and one slice of sausage pizza ($3.25/slice) with beer.

They are open late and they fill up fast. The interior is loud and cramped but it's the only way to get a beer with the pizza. The service is okay. There were only two employees there when we went around 10 pm and it was busy with a line out the door - one to dish the pizza and one to take drink orders/clear tables/bake new sheets of pizza.

Having just arrived in San Fran, and staying in the north beach area, my wife and i went exploring the surrounding area to our apartment. We were taken by the big trays of good looking pizzas in the window, so went in.
The service was great, the guy behind the counter, had a little joke about my (geordie) accent which made ordering a coke sound like coors to him, but thats not the first time that's happened, even in the uk!
I had pepperoni and my wife had the combination topping. The slices were a nice size and they tasted great. We could have easily sat there listening to good music and drinking beer all night.

Visited here at suggestion of a young nephew. My husband and I agreed that it was the best pan-style pizza we've had. It is a whole in the wall with loudish music playing but the pizza is totally worth it. The young woman working the counter was lovely to locals and tourists who did not know the drill. Highly recommend.
