Small restaurant that as the evening continued, hustled with energy. The owners and staff bounced all over serving customers. My pasta dinner which was on the specials was quite tasty. It was a dish of homemade spinach pasta with Salmon...and heck, I can't remember. The Medici salad was lovely. My friend's pizza was good but we both agreed my pasta was better. We each had a glass of wine ($12/glass) and shared a dessert. With tip, our meals were $48/each. Helpful hint: call a few days ahead to make your reservations. We left a message early in the day on their service for a reservation on the same day.) It said leave a message and we will call you back.) They did not call back. We figured since we were eating early at 6:15, they could seat us. When we arrived, they said their machine doesn't always work and they couldn't sets us. The restaurant was half empty. After a bit of coaxing (ok, a lot of coaxing) they sat us. After salad and before entree they moved us so that we wouldn't have to leave so they could accomodate the reservations they successfully made. Before dessert there were still lots of empty tables including the one they moved us from. During dessert there still were two empty tables. It seems this place lost opportunity for not seating others that arrived without reservations at the same time as us. Synopsis: Good convenient food near the convention center. Working all day and want some good food close by? Definitely eat here. But, absolutely make you reservation well in advance.
