We had to try Mama's out after reading all the rave reviews, and it didn't disappoint! We stupidly went for brunch on 4th of July - and ended up waiting for about 80 minutes in the sun. The wait wasn't too bad, it's part of the experience - making friends with other people in line, watching people both inside and outside the restaurant. The guys inside were thoughtful enough to bring jugs of water out for those of us waiting, a nice touch. Once in, you immediately forget about wasting over an hour of your life standing outside, as you're taken away by the charm of the little place. After placing our order with the friendly, chatty owner, we were taken to a cute booth (although unfortunately right next to the window where the line outside is - awwwkwarrrd!) and had a lovely little date. I'm not much of a cooked full-on breakfast fan, so I ordered French toast and oh my GOD, it was amazing! Mountains of berries and sauce - a sweet tooth's dream. My hubby loved his omelette breakfast with all the trimmings.
Definitely recommended! Yummy and great small-cafe atmosphere. To beat the crowd, arrive early - although they open at 8am, we heard a guy say that when he arrives for work at 7.30, there's already a line outside!
