“Nice but wouldn't return”
Reviewed August 25, 2013

Walked here from Union Square area which was a mistake since it is not the safest looking area to walk through. We really liked the atmosphere and service...the food was very good but not impressive enough to return here again.

“Nice one”
Reviewed August 23, 2013

Although it's a bit expensive the overall experience was very good. Lots of delicious seafood options, tender meat and a nice view at the skilled cooks in the open kitchen. Great selection of oysters as well. Service was good, but they made a small mistake by not giving us a small break between 2 dishes. When I said something about it, he reacted as if he didn't understand. Because of the gazing of the cooks we understood that they actually made both dishes at the same time by accident.
The atmosphere is excellent with a nice mixture of different people

“Great recommendation - great food - great place!”
Reviewed August 18, 2013 via mobile

Went on the recommendation from a friend - it was terrific! The olive/anchovy appetizer & Caesar salad were wonderful starters. Daughter had pasta w butter (restaurant kid's standby), wife had tomato, white bean & basil soup which was extraordinary while I had the albacore with fennel & cranberry beans _ delicious! Add a cocktail & a glass of wine & it equalled $120 incl. tip which was a little pricey but worth it.

“Good experience”

Chicken dinner was excellent and worth the wait. They should advise that they charge for soda refills and give the guest the option--we spent $14.00 on soda for two people!

“Tasty, but a little pricy”
Reviewed August 5, 2013

A great example of California cuisine, Zuni Café uses in-season ingredients and very little processing. Our meal was quite tasty. One of us had the cherry tomato pasta with breadcrumbs, and the other had filet mignon, but the menu changes daily. Overall, we both enjoyed our meals, but found them a bit expensive compared to some other Cali cuisine restaurants. Staff was excellent and knowledgeable, and didn’t rush us. The décor is stunning, and Zuni is a comfortable restaurant where you can spend hours relaxing with friends and family.
