I've been visiting San Francisco for almost two decades and have even contemplated moving here. Dining establishments like this are one of the reasons!
Rather than go on an on about the food, I'll summarize the reason for Plaj consistently delivering one of my best dining experiences in the world (60+ countries and counting, almost 100 cruises!!): TASTE.
The chef and staff understand the little things, and when they all work together, they orchestrate a symphony for the palette that is hard to find elsewhere. Last night I had lightly grilled octopus to perfection, served over yogurt sauce and a fruit puree. I matched this starter with organic beet root salad garnished with truffle slivers and candied hazelnuts. The fact that I'm running out of words as I write this is testament to the sensory overload that dining here can have on you.
But enough of the flowery words: this restaurant plain ROCKS! I will continue to dine here for years to come as long as they keep up the amazing culinary explorations. What a wonderful addition to San Francisco's culinary kaleidoscope.
