This park is so huge. They have all different types of plant u can imagined. Its a bit hard to find a car park especially on the weekend, so remember where you park. Apparently it's one of the iconic place in San Francisco. Its a good place to jog, refresh your mind, and taking picture. Should also visit Japanese garden, It's awesome. However, they charged you for it. But, as a tourist, might as well go. It totally beautiful and worth it.

The Golden Gate Park is still a simply must in San Francisco, but we were a bit dismayed to see that we had to pay large fees to get entrance to places such as the arts museum and the Japanese Tea Garden.

Perhaps, this is just because we are used to public parks in Europe and Asia being free for the public, but it was a bit of a nasty surprise

Its huge ++ But great place for a walk. Distances are big. Conservatory of Flowers - a very pretty building- wish it had been open to view. I have read it is free on Tuesdays whereas a fee applies the other days.

Beautiful and extensive gardens, including the best art gallery: the De Young Museum. Hope to explore the gardens further in June 2014

We walked one half of the park from Martin Luther King Drive to the ocean. It is a very pleasant walk, although most of the activity is in the other half of the park. Allow at least an hour and a half to walk to the ocean, without stopping. We got the bus from Golden Gate Bridge to the park, hence the entry at the middle. As said, long and thin, some nice natural features, take a bicycle, you will see much more of the features in the park than we did, although the walk to the `Cliff House` along the Pacific is really nice, with a visitor centre that has a full model of the park that you can get your bearings from.
