“So much hope...”
Reviewed February 21, 2013

Hyde Park, this isn't. Central Park? Not by a long shot.

There is great potential here. I hope that California gets its financial house in order and spends a few bucks here. The Panhandle Park was just fine by me.

Walking along JFK Rd. felt safe enough, but then having to endure the myriad of homelessness and traffic intersections really took away from the experience.

Lindy In The Park was fun to watch as was the Roller Skate Dancing.

Disney-ish waterfall. The lakes.

The best part of the park? Seeing the Dutch Windmills from the Cliff House.

“A Sunday in the Golden Gate Park”
Reviewed February 21, 2013

If you want to go back in time when you can envision people strolling through the Golden Gate Park, take a visit on a Sunday. The main street through the Park (John F. Kennedy Drive) is closed to cars. This allows for either walking or riding a bike through the park. It adds a quiet feeling to the Park where city noise can no longer be heard. Instead of smelling car exhaust, you can smell the flowers blooming or hear children playing on the grass.
Go early enough to park your car on a side street, which is free. Walk a couple blocks or more to the Park. Then take in a museum or two. Walk out of the park to a local cafe. Do some window shopping in the Haight/Ashbury District. Then walk back to your car.
It makes for a really relaxing day, especially if the weather is nice.

“Tea gardens”
Reviewed February 20, 2013

Golden gate Park is lovley but so crowded. Parking is very difficult but I guess it is worth it to stroll around . We had enough time to see the Japanese Tea house and gardens. I think they present better in the spring and summer FEB was just a little weary and worn. If you pan to go to the park I would plan all day and get there early to park!
