It was freshly painted and had an awful smell of color ....the breakfast was almost inexistable ..only consisting of a muffin...the furniture was old....possibly there are bed bugs too...the skin of my partner was itching the next day

Just spent 10 days at SoMa in San Francisco - it was great to have free coffee and walk out so close to market st -there s also a magiv coffee roasting house just around the corner on 7th st - the guys on the desk were really helpfeul - i m really writing as i saw a previous review saying the room was dirty and noise from the club was bad - not my experience as the cul-de-sac is very quiet and the three evenings there was some noise shutting the window stopped it - the room was absolutely fine - thanks a lot, especially to the staff= my daughter loved it too john

Room Tip: i stayed on the third floor

Yes, it's near a bar and the neighborhood is a real one, it's not luxe. But there's a Diners Dives and Driveins next door. The cooks cook to order and the waitresses call you hon. A gem that made us want to stay another week and work our way through their menu. Also the walk to Market is short. Thank you!

This hotel has everything you can expect from a good budget hotel. I recommend this hotel unless you are traveling with small children.

The location is close to the city center. The area around the hotel is not good but as long as you stay away from Sixth Street you should be OK.

The rooms are decently clean with daily housekeeping.

Breakfast is just some sweets and coffee but there are other options nearby and a supermarket just across the street.

People in the reception are very helpful and the Wi-Fi is incredibly good.

There are some noise from a night club on the bottom floor but nothing too much.

The price during the stay was about $ 100 per night.

Room Tip: There are some noise from a night club on the bottom floor.

This place is pretty yucky! On the website it says it's been recently renovated and I beg to defer, maybe it was renovated in 1988. There are stains on the curtains and headboards. The doors hardly close properly, the carpet is stinky and has stains and theres are a bar down below and you can hear everyone! Dont stay here, spend a little more and stay somewhere nicer.

Thought this was going to be a disaster based off of previous reviews, but very surprised. Hotel is clean and quiet. Staff is friendly, easy check in and out, and valet parking($16)
This is not the Four Seasons, but in this price range its the best you will find in San Francisco.

As mentionned in the previous review, the hotel is near the bart, tram & bus stations.
Beds were very conformtable. And the room was quiet despite thin walls (the hotel was not packed during our stay)
The breakfast "on the go" is pleasant (muffins, coffee and fruit juice)
