If you haven't been there in a while, take some time to explore Treasure Island, but for an extra treat, do it on the last weekend of the month when the Flea Market is set up. The fee is only $3 and there is quite an interesting mix of used goods, but also many vendors with products you would see at a street fair. Some of my purchases today were from a great sock vendor and one selling homemade sweet potato/peach pies that were absolutely delicious. Some of the stalls were outside in front of the former airline terminal and others inside.
There were about 10 gourmet food trucks and our tika masala with garbanzo beans over rice from the Indian truck was delicious. There are several huge buildings that are wineries right there and all were offering tastings today. If you drive around the island there are signs to other wineries, such as Treasure Island wines and Fat Grape.
The view of the entire San Francisco bay with both bridges, coit tower, the pyramid building, Alcatraz was stunning as usual. There was even a cruise ship in port.
