“Nice Scenic Golf Course”
Reviewed February 24, 2014 via mobile

Booked a tee time as a single golfer, got slotted into a fourball. The course was in pretty good condition. Very hilly and scenic with breathtaking views. The warm up facilities are pretty poor. A small warm up putting green, pitching area and range are small.

“A great time at the Presidio!”
Reviewed November 17, 2013

Decided to play the Presidio since all the other tours we booked were cancelled due to the government shut down. SO GLAD. The course is in great shape. The staff were all super friendly. Nice driving range. Nice views. Surprised to see such a place so close to the city.

Even though there was a charity outing earlier in the day - the pace was still good. My husband and I rented clubs. They had two options for each of us to choose from. He is a very good golfer and was not disappointed at all in the clubs. I kind of stink usually, but LOVED the rental clubs and did well (for me). The course is pretty challenging, but so much fun. Was very amused by the herd of goats we encountered 1/2 way through the round. Also loved the small shack to buy a beer on the way. Had a drink in the bar before catching a cab back to the hotel. Again, service and selection was great. I can't think of anything negative to say about the experience.

“A must do in SFO”
Reviewed October 23, 2013

Presidio is one of those courses you must play when you in San Fran. It was just my luck, the Saturday I played, the day started foggy (teed off at 7:40 am)..Played in the fog for the first 8 holes. I saw about 100 yards at a time of the first 8 holes. Buy by the time we hit the 9th tee box, sunny skies appeared. I actually played better in the fog. Scored 40 in the front with all the fog and shot 45 with the sunny skies. Overall, it was a great round of golf. They definitely ding you as a vistor. It's definitely a great deal for the local SFO's. One tip, take their survey on their website, that'll get you at least $10 off their green fees.

Another tip which i got from a person i sat next to on my plane trip to SFO, because we were staying downtown SFO w/ no car, it was easy to take a cab to Presidio, but from Presidio, you don't have much cab service in that area. So it was recommended to use the Uber service to get yourself back to downtown SFO.

“Lift, Clean & Place, 365!”
Reviewed October 7, 2013

I used to play this course regularly as the overall experience of a rich and varied selection of tough par 4's, reachable par 5's and eccentric par 3's always made for a memorable experience. However during my past 2 visits during the glorious months of September and October weather, the grounds crew have decided to go beaverish! And have they been busy! All over the course there are diggers, construction crews relaxing in the sun during their lunch break, all sorts of machinery in operation chewing up branches, whole swathes of turf being aerated, signature trees being chopped down all in a seemingly never ending cycle of deconstruction, reseeding and rebuilding? All of this for 18 greens with different grass; fairways that are wet and never seem to dry; tee boxes that are uneven and poorly maintained; bunkers that are never raked and have no more than 1/8" sand; pin placements that are incorrectly marked on the scorecard despite the assurances of the starter that pin placement #1 is in effect today; holes that are taken completely out of play for more than 60 days of supposed improvement while you continuously clean the mud from your shoes and clubs in 75 degree weather?
Save your money and give it this mess a miss!
