I understand it's a public course and gets a TON of play. That being said, the fairways are amazing and the terrain makes every shot tough. Greens were bumpy and slow.

My wife played as well and it is by far the longest (almost 5,500 yards from red tees) and toughest course for a woman I have seen. When you add the wind and terrain it plays even longer for everyone.

Played over the weekend and it is a "must play". Staff is great, course is in excellent condition and the has great character.

Highly recommend playing the Whites as the ball doesnt rollout on the fairways so it plays longer than it apears. It is definitely is a challenging course. Tremendous beautyon the course and views of the city.

For the $, you cant beat the rate anywhere in the Bay Area.

The course had some nice views and was fun to walk. The course itself was much like you would expect at a muni golf course. Good but not pristine. A couple of crazy holes - a par 3 with a big tree in the line of sight between you and the flag for instance. But all in all a fun day. Local residents get a pretty big break on fees compared to out of towers or out of state folks. They have a starter on the first tee who is pretty good at keeping things moving and on time. They need to add a locker room to change in after the round. No bev cart service. Just a snack shack that you pass a couple of times.

This course has amazing views of the city of San Francisco from many holes. Beautiful. We had a clear blue sky day with the sun shinning, but it was still windy and cold. The starter said we were lucky, usually the marine layer of fog keeps it more cold and damp...but probably a little less windy. California residents definitely get a break on the cost......if you are from any other state expect to pay double what the residents pay. A fun experience though and a must if you are a golfer visiting San Francisco.
