This is a really lovely hotel, with a bit of character about it. It’s really well located at Fisherman’s Wharf and it’s down the quieter end. This was most appreciated as I understand some of the hotels in the area are quite noisy. We spent 4 nights here and it made a great base for the ‘Escape From Alcatraz’ Triathlon. The hotel was bike friendly and we kept our bikes in our room. It is appreciated though if you put your shoes on outside though, as they have lovely wooden floors in the foyer area. This simple act was met with great appreciation from the staff and is simply the right thing to do. Be aware, like many hotels in the area, they charge an ‘amenity fee’ of approx $30USD night and overnight parking is $75USD if you have a car. The staff at reception were really friendly and we greatly enjoyed our stay.
