The location of this hotel is great - close to the cable car and strolling distance to all the attractions of the waterfront. Service is obviously important - the doormen are friendly and keen to help you which gives a great first impression.
The room was clean and decorated in a nautical theme - a bit over the top when you first see it but it does grow on you. Bed was super comfy and room was spacious enough. The only downside is that we had paid for a room with a bay view but had to take it in turns to peer out of the small window. I understand the limitations of putting a hotel in a fabulous old building like this but would have expected a room with a 'bay view' to have windows large enough for more than one person to see it at once.
Would recommend others to stay here - just don't bother paying more for a bay view room.More
