“Treasure Hunting and Food!”

This event is well worth the time. Not so overwhelming like the Rose Bowl Flea Market (Pasadena, CA), but variety is great and the prices were even better. The numerous food trucks make the day enjoyable since you can have your choice of unique food to sample. Free parking is also a plus. Could be chilly, so be prepared.

“A flea market with a view.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 13, 2012

The Treasure island Flea market has been going on for less than a year, but it is picking up a nice momentum. The vendors are a mix of antiques dealers and Etsy types who make their own clothing, candles, accessories, candy, you name it. There are also a gathering of esoteric food trucks for your dining pleasure, with a range of offerings from Asian to burgers. Depending on the season there is sometimes live music as well. As an added bonus, you're on Treasure Island, which has the most spectacular views of San Francisco. Plus you can see some of the last surviving buildings and sculptures from the 1930 World's Fair. Public transportation is super easy and convenient. You can take the MUNI #108 bus from the Financial District in San Francisco. The bus gets you to the flea market in 7 minutes.
