“Lovely Visit with Family”
Reviewed October 4, 2013

The proximity to my daughter and granddaughter were my initial reasons for selecting this Inn. It truly afforded me an opportunity to visit with my 3 year old granddaughter in a pleasant setting. There are many reasons for returning to the Inn including the very friendly staff, the wonderful breakfast, evening wine and cheese and the beautiful surroundings.

Can't think of a better way to enjoy a visit to the city while staying at this B&B in a beautifully restored suburban setting. There are trails to hike or bike, views of the Bay and the City at every turn and the feeling that you've left the bustle of the city far behind. Yet, the moment you leave the Post, you ARE in the city--if you want to be. The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff made us feel at home, and the excellent European breakfast started our days with an upbeat feel. We shared stories with other guests and received excellent recommendations of places to eat, visit, experience. The late afternoon wine/cheese event also gave us a chance to share stories and to relax either in the dining area or outside by the fire. The Inn presents a chance to mix with others if you choose to, or to be solitary if you want that. While we were there, the guests included singles, couples, families with young children, business people, and retirees. I'm recommending it to family and friends.

Room Tip: There is no elevator, but it wasn't a problem for us though we stayed on the 3rd floor (we'r...

My parent's were visiting and I live close to the Presidio. They enjoy a more calm city experience and the Inn at the Presidio was beyond perfect.

Everything about the hotel was flawless and truly could not have gone any better.

I was very impressed with this Inn. The continental breakfast is excellent and the wine and cheese afternoon setting one of the best I have seen. My wife and I stayed in one of the most comfortable rooms we have stayed in. The staff is great, if you have a chance to stay here you will not be disappointed.

My wife and I travel to San Fran quite often to see our daughter and son-in-law. They recently moved to Laurel Heights so we needed a place to stay. We found this little piece of heaven before our recent visit in September. What a find! The location is great and the hospitality is outstanding! A must do if you ever in the area.

Room Tip: The suites are phenominal!

My husband and I with our two Beagles enjoyed a three night stay at this lovely property. We had a third floor suite and had a lovely view of the bay. We were impressed with the amount of space in these restored bachelor quarters. The restoration was very well done mixing the original with the new. Two flat screen TV's, great king size bed and a lovely bathroom with all the amenities you'd expect. The windows are original but open with ease to let the fresh air flow. We will definitely return and highly recommend the Inn to anyone looking for a low key peaceful property in the San Francisco area. It is amazing to find such a gem so close to all SF has to offer. The breakfast was a cut above the usual included breakfast and the wine in the evening was excellent. We also loved the fire pit out back. Over all an excellent stay. We do have two suggestions to make it even better, each room should be equipped with an oscillating fan. Also an outdoor trash receptacle would be in order, for snack trash as well as pet waste.

Room Tip: The view are the best from the third floor.

Recently , my wife and I had the wonderful experience of staying at the Inn of the Presidio.
The room accommodations (2nd floor suite) was super. What an outstanding value to get the amount of living space between the living room, bedroom along with great views from our window and of course the rockers on the front porch that are designed for young , middle aged or seniors.
The Hotel staff could not have been nicer and more professional. Every question or request that we had was handled immediately and with an attitude of "Happy to serve you."
The location of the Inn is perfect. We took several walks, hiked the trails behind the Inn to Inspiration Point.
Course an added plus was being so close to the Bay and even catching some of America's Cup racing which turned out to be a fabulous win for America.
I highly rate the Hotel, Staff, Food and lodging experience.
