We have just returned from an absolutely fabulous stay at this historic, newly opened Inn. The location is very unique as the presidio is actual a federal park, which previously was a military base. Beautiful property surrounded by old wood forests, hiking and bike paths and still only 10 minutes from North Beach!
Our room had a view of the bay... Stunning....but don't go for the views as there re certainly better hotels if you are looking for that! The inside of the Inn is furnished with restoration hardware furniture... Lovely quality, cool in a retro expensive way. Staying at the Inn is like being invited to stay at an extremely wealthy relatives estate! The rooms were spacious, bright and well layed out. Clean pretty, brand new bathrooms. The mess hall is a common dining area where you can enjoy the included continental breakfast as well as the wine and cheese offered free between 5-7pm. There is a beautiful fire pit off the dining area with 8 teak rockers surrounding it!
Parking is 6$ per night qgich is unheard off. Do yourself a favour and book a stay at this amazing place... You will not be sorry! Staff were warm and friendly in a cometely authentic way. Made you feel like a friend staying over!
Can't wait to go back!

Hotel interior architecture features lofty high ceilings and big room in both the lobby areas and the hotel rooms. Comfortable, clever decor that is modern but with authentic references to the hotel and Presidio's past. Quiet and remarkable to be able to stay within the Presidio itself. Views of the bay from our room. Walking the groups, every where you glance is scenic. With a car it's easy enough to pop right out of through one of the park's exits to the bridge, the Marina, downtown, Pacific Heights, Golden Gate Park museums, and other areas of the city. Recommend for sure if you're looking for a unique boutique hotel experience. Very experienced hospitality team running the hotel.

Inside Presidio National Park, the dissipating morning fog from the cool breeze of the San Francisco Bay revealed a historic elegant inn. This was a superb choice to be the home base of our stay in San Francisco. They did an impressive modern remodeling filled with Pottery Barn furnitures and artifacts from the former U.S. Army base. The front desk receptionist gave us a smiling personal welcome. Our room was a one bedroom suite on the third floor with a view of the park and a glimpse of the Golden Gate Bridge. The king size bed was very comforting. They have a sleeper sofa bed for our little ones. The whole room and bathroom are filled with luxurious amenities. There is a porch/balcony on the first and second floors with rocking chairs for some relaxation. There is an elevator that will take guests from the parking lot to the first floor/lobby area only. I can consider it us an engineering failure on why they couldn't bring up the elevator to the third floor. And, when we checked in, the bell boy was not available. I have to haul our luggages thru the stairs to the third floor. In the afternoons, they have a complimentary wine and cheese reception. Outdoor is a fire pit and some dining sets for friendly chats with other guests. Morning comes and they have a European Continental breakfast with choice of pastries, fruits, cheese, coffee, juice, and some deli such as salami and prosciutto. Sorry, no omelets or bacons or sausages here. Most of the products they serve are locally made. The manager always greet us whenever we see him and always ask if we are enjoying our stay. There is a $6.00 parking fee per night, a bargain comparing it to the area hotels. The Inspiration Point is only a half-mile walk with an astonishing view of the Alcatraz Island and the surrounding area. Crissy Field, Place of the Fine Arts, and other parks and trails are just walking distance. We really love our stay and sure will stay again in our future visit to San Francisco.

From the moment we arrived, the service was very friendly, helpful, and professional. I can't say enough about the fantastic front desk staff. They recommended places to visit in the area, provided instructions on how to take the free shuttles in and around town, and they made dinner reservations for us every night at a wonderful restaurant in walking distance.

I stayed in a Classic Queen, a beautiful suite that overlooked the bay in the distance. It was clean and comfortable, and even had a fireplace, which gave the room a very cozy and inviting feel. The ONLY negative I experienced was about being able to hear the cargo ships go by at night even with all the windows closed, which I imagine can be very disturbing if you're a light sleeper. Luckily, the bed was so comfortable that it didn't bother me too much.

Breakfast was awesome in their beautiful country-style dining hall, and I always looked forward to wine and cheese in the afternoons while sitting around the fire pit.

If I could give this place ten stars, I totally would. :)

What a delightful destination! The staff was welcoming, helpful and gracious hosts. If you needed to find anything or wanted anything, it was located! Delicious and expansive continental breakfast starts the day and the wine and cheese in the evening pulls from the local wineries and cheese makers. The rooms are serene, well stocked with treats and amenities. The inn is located within the Presidio and backs into a forrest on one side and views of the Golden Gate and bay on the other. Hiking trails, shuttles to town and wild life abound. Awesome place to use as a base for sightseeing or pure relaxation! Our new place to stay.

Room Tip: The suites are fabulous. Rooms facing the fire pit are quieter.

We so enjoyed the Inn at the Presidio! From the wonderful welcome we received from Renan to the incredibly comfortable rooms to the excellent location, we will definately stay there again. The staff was very accomodating and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was exceptional. The continental breakfast complete with watermelon and strawberry infused water was great and the wine and cheese reception at night was nice to come back to after sightseeing. The location was especially close to the wharf and the Golden Gate and Sausalito. We loved the Disney museum which was within walking distance. It was unbelievable! This hotel is a jewel!

Best place ever to stay. Wonderful staff, beautiful setting, great amenities and easy to use public transportation. Morning complimentary continental breakfast and wine and cheese in the early evening. Fun to talk to other guests and spend time around the fire pit on the back patio in the evening. Rooms are great and I cannot think of one negative about this facility. Only bad part if that everyone will want to go and there will be no room for us to return.

Room Tip: Ask for a suite, each floor has a different price, goes up as you move up to a view. We were on the...
