I can't beleive this great motel. I would say this is a nice warm, clean, and comfortable place to stay. Except for the parking, everything was good! tudy was good. The Presidio is jus one block away from Country Hearth Inn. I was safe at night to walk areound, and freindly neibhorhood.

The service consists of yelling at the customer. The walls are incredibly thin and because of the snoremaster in the next room I have yet to fall asleep (it's 5:31 AM). The room smells horrible. No coffeemaker in the room. The fridge costs extra money to use and is locked up. The bedsheets smell terrible. Never coming back: I would get a better night's sleep in my car.

We stay in SF frequently and were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. This is not a "luxury" facility but it worked fine for us as it was close to relatives who live in the Marina District. It's quiet, clean and has limited on-premises parking. It's close to Chestnut Street restaurants and to the Palace of Fine Arts. We would definitely stay there again if the prices stay as reasonable as they were for our recent stay.

This motel is very cozy, quiet, clean, and comfortable. This is a motel, but it has amenities of a 5 star room. No elevator, and the breakfast is nothing special, just assortments of pastries, coffee, juice oj, tea, banana apples.
Tudy was very helpful and courtieous.
There is a laundromat just one block from here to do laundry. There are many restaurants within walking, and there is a great pizza restaurant just steps away! The rate was very inexpensive.
The presidio golf is just 3 minute drive from here!
I recommend this motel to anyone, and I will definately stay here again!

We booked this hotel on the internet for two nights in late October as we were attending a wedding in San Francisco and the Country Hearth Inn was located near the park where the wedding was to be held. The location was changed due to the poor weather that weekend, but we still enjoyed our stay at the Country Hearth Inn. We only used public transportation for our two day stay in SF, and the Country Hearth's location was great for this as bus stops were located quite close for a number of the different routes. The first day we were there we walked down to Fisherman's Wharf and then all over the historic part of the city - probaly about 10 miles of walking in all, but we enjoyed it thoroughly, even the uphill sections!
Our room was quite adequate for our needs and the price was excellent for San Francisco. The Country Hearth Inn is certainly not a luxury hotel, but we did not expect this from reading the reviews; but the room was clean, the bed very comfortable with nice decorative touches, we heard no noise, and we were supplied with everything we needed - including fancy soap, shampoo, a hair dryer and tissues. There was even a fancy extra cold water spigot installed for drinking water. The morning continental breakfast was quite adequate and we took full advantage of it, taking our room tray to the front office as suggested by the desk clerk, and bringing our breakfast of juice, a fresh banana or apple, croissants and danish, tea or coffee back to our room dining table to enjoy. We would most definitely choose to stay at the Country Hearth Inn again should our travel plans bring us back to San Francisco.

Clean and simple hotel in a decent location near the Presidio and the Golden Gate Bridge. They have limited parking but it's FREE. (rare in SF) The traffic on the street out front is a bit noisy, but that's my only minor complaint. I'll definitely consider staying here the next time I'm in San Francisco.
