It is a motel. It has the necessary elements to have a nice stay. We've been 5 days and everything was well organised. I believe the breakfast could be a little bit better if they changed the pastries for regular bread. The man at the front desk was friendly and helpful

Room Tip: If you have difficulties with the stairs, ask for a room on the ground floor.

I have to say, I was very pleasantly surprised when I arrived at this place. Yes, it is a motel, and yes, it is pretty basic, but the rooms were nice, very clean, with everything you'd expect including a mini-fridge. The front desk guy, who I assume was the owner, was really lovely, and I had several good conversations with him. There was a little tray in my room that was useful for bringing back breakfast items - and the breakfast pastries themselves were very nice, and even included vegan options. The coffee was great. The neighborhood, just on the edge of the Presidio, seemed safe, and there were many restaurants and shops just a few blocks away. I would definitely stay here again!

Hotels in San Fran are expensive, when this is what you get for the price. It's an old motor inn that has been recently updated. The décor is modern but the amenities are vey basic. It's the kind of place where you have a shower and the whole bathroom get soaked. The towels and linen appeared clean but actually had a lot of long dark hair stuck through the fabric. It was quite a turn off. We didn't bother eating breakfast. The room was ok, and the staff on reception were friendly, but I'm glad we only had one night here. The position of this hotel is great. A quick walk to the Palace of Fine Arts, the Golden Gate Bridge and Crissy Field.

2-level motel just off a main intersection, easy to reach on public transport (several bus routes within a few minutes' walk), lovely deli/corner shop round the corner, 5 min walk to Walgreens pharmacy. Felt safe coming back at night.
Large room with two double beds, spacious, bath with shower, very clean. Room had little natural light, so might be a bit odd if staying for more than a few days. Comfortable beds, good water pressure. Helpful, friendly staff at front desk. Only odd note the prominent display of an envelope saying 'Tips for staff' - we arrived very late on the first night, and stumbled out looking for food the next morning - came back and found the room cleaned, with this envelope placed on a pillow.

Room Tip: Narrow outdoor stairs to upper rooms.

Very basic hotel but provides all you need breakfast was supplied, Coffee, tea, pastries and fruit which you collected and took back to your room , this may not be everyone's cup of tea but for the price we found it ideal. Close to buses both hobo bus and city bus lines. Quiet area great French restaurant around the corner or good pizza place just a few doors away. Staff were e extremely helpful nothing was too much trouble. Great value hotel.

Room Tip: Rooms on 2nd floor could be quieter. Ground floor have easier access.there and any lift/elevators.
