We enjoyed the bus tour. It's a great way to see such an interesting and happening city. If you have less time and you want to explore the city, this hop n hop off from big bus tour is highly recommended.

Three of us took this tour today and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The automated audio presentation that is given throughout the drive gives you a lot of detail and worked very well. The ear plugs that are given out work very good - they actually stay in your ears. We only had time to do the one day tour but we wish we would have had time to do the 2 day tour.

The buses are clean and the drivers are very good at their jobs. The buses also seem to run on time which is amazing considering the traffic in San Francisco.

This is one of the better hop on hop off tours that we have done in major cities. I would certainly recommend this company.

If you want to be on the top portion of the bus and be as warm as possible, sit near the front. Otherwise, be sure you have a sweater or jacket and a comb because it can get very windy up top, especially crossing over the Golden Gate Bridge.

Important! Make sure you get one of the older looking buses. These are the ones that have the live tour guide. They're so much more fun and informative than the plug in head phone system on the newer buses. We really enjoyed our tour around. Military discount is good. Even NZ Navy.

If you want to discover San Francisco by day, this is a good option. With guides on board telling you about the history of the several sights you come across, you will even learn some interesting facts about the less notable areas of San Francisco. Of course this tour also takes you to the Golden Gate Bridge (and across) and Fisherman's Wharf, which definitely makes it worth its value.

Doing parts of the tour several times with different guides, we did notice that they often repeat the same sometimes not so interesting facts, even though probably much more can be said about the many unique buildings in the area. Apart from that, this tour is highly recommended.

I would select a different tour company for this wonderful experience. The route was fine, the buses nice. Our guide was more of an entertainer than an informational tour guide. He had some great facts and information but way too many jokes, personal observations, strong opinions. For example, he thought the America's Cup was just a complete debacle, hoped any other nation than the US would win, etc etc. and went on about it.
We have been on two other similar trips in SF but I couldn't remember which and figured it wouldn't really matter,. Well, it did!!!
