“Really good - a favorite for lunch”
Reviewed June 25, 2014

The staff and service is a bit chaotic but for me at least it was worth the wait. Super fresh and tasty vietnamese sandwiches, cool decor. A new favorite to visit when I am in SF.

“Pleasant discovery!”
Reviewed June 8, 2014

We walked by this cute little restaurant while shopping on Filmore
and popped in for 3 excellent dishes, friendly/helpful service
and nice atmosphere. I'm not a Vietnamese food expert, but we all thought the food was great and would definitely return.

“Not traditional Bahn Mi and lacked flavor!”
Reviewed May 19, 2014 via mobile

Stopped in for Bahn Mi sandwich. Staff was friendly and we placed our order and as. The food came up pretty quick, a combo and the pork belly. Not really any specific problems. The food was just bland. The combo came with Pate but you couldn't tell. I think in looking at the board, it was the only sandwich with pate, a key ingredient for proper Bahn Mi. A few jalapeños , carrot, random pieces of cucumber and a few small sprigs of cilantro. Just no pop of flavor here. If your looking for traditional, this is not your place.

“Bun mee hit the spot!”
Reviewed May 4, 2014 via mobile

After a 20- hour flight from Singapore, I checked into a B&B nearby and headed straight to Bun Mee. Super authentic and delicious. Fresh baguette loaded with fresh crunchy pickles and jalapeños. Kaffir limeade was superb too. Just what I needed after all the plastic plane food.

“Vietnamese Sandwich shop a success”
Reviewed December 29, 2013

Their sandwiches had heat, fresh ingredients, crunch, and texture. Everything worked. We sat outdoors (much quieter than inside), but even indoors the atmosphere was winning: sociable, warm, community-minded. It was a great quick bite for lunch.
