“You can't beat this location!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 24, 2013

I stayed here for 4 nights in a room with two full beds that I requested at booking. This location is great! Very easy to get to from the Oakland airport using AirBart and Bart. Check in went smoothly. Our room was on the 4th floor near the elevator. We did not have any problem with elevator noise. The water pressure in the bathroom sink was low but the water in the shower was a bit rough. We had the morning breakfast on the 5th floor every day and enjoyed the coffee, juice, bagels, and pastries in our room. We also enjoyed the coffee and fruit water in the lobby. The room did get a little stuffy if you don't leave the AC unit on. The AC can be a little loud, but not really a big problem. The wifi worked just fine. The best part of this hotel is the great location and easy access to awesome shopping and eating just around the corner!

This was our first stop on our road trip through California. After a long flight we managed to negotiate the Bart system from the airport to Powell street. This was much cheaper than getting cab which would have totalled around $40 plus dollars. The journey took around 20 mins and the station was walking distance from the hotel. The surrounding area was very busy especially with suitcases etc but easily done.

When travelling I always keep all paper work in case there are any issues with check in etc. it's a good job that I do because upon arrival the very polite and helpful check in staff were unable to locate our booking. I handed over all information I had and after a free water and a few minutes they checked us in and gave us a free upgrade for the trouble. The problem was not created by the hotel but the staff handled it quickly and professionally which helped.

The room was a reasonable size for 2 people. The bathroom was quite small and the sink was actually was in the bedroom which was bizarre but not the end of the world. The bed was comfy and the air conditioning worked just fine. We heard no loud noises from the street or from any other guests.

There is a free continental buffet included. This is based on the 5th floor and you help yourselves then take it back to your room. The breakfast was sufficient included bagels, bread, fruit, coffee, pastries and fresh juice. I can't imagine why anybody would complain about this is as it is more than enough to keep you going all day unless you eat full English breakfasts everyday.

The location was great. We were walking distance from the Bart, buses and tram lines. A little tip if you do want to ride the trams to get the true San Francisco experience: do it early!!! Before 10 am is advised as any time after this you will be waiting up to 2 hours to ride it. It is worth the early start to experience especially if you want to visit fisherman a wharf etc.

I would recommend this hotel to anybody Whois just passing through. It is clean, well located and the staff were lovely. I have noticed previous reviews stating the staff are unwelcoming etc and I think sometimes it helps if you treat them like humans rather than 'the help'

If anybody has any questions about San Fran or the hotel then please feel free to ask.

Upon arrival, the front staff is not very welcoming or helpful with the parking situation. The hallways of the hotel are downright depressing and then we walked into our 10x10 box of a room with a full bed, barely enough room for two people to walk around and a view of a concrete wall out the window. Although clean, the room is unbelievably depressing and I don't think that the location is even worth the cost of this room

Do you like sinks in your bedroom? How about being two blocks from the Tenderloin? Awful wifi service? A concierge that tells you to stand in the taxi line at another hotel? Then you are in luck because Hotel Fusion offers you all these things and more! The one star was for their free coffee by the front desk.

stayed here for 4 nights in june 2013, the room was clean and tidy, the staff were friendly and helpful. we found a wallet with credit cards in it on the top shelf of the wardrobe- its very deep and high. brought it down to recption and they went through the records and found the address of the guy who left it, he was from brazil. the room was small but has a safe, fridge and large tv. the cleaning ladies were very friendly. complimentary breakfast, you go to a room on the 5th floor and bring it to your room, car parking was $37 a night, you get a ticket and when you want the car you ring reception 20-30 mins in advance, the carpark is not in the hotel.there is a cable car station nearby, left out the front door and then the next right. if you want to avoid the queue go to the next stop, the cars leave a few spaces when they leave

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Fusion, and if we needed to stay in the center of the city again, we would go back. Hotel was clean, front desk was very friendly - especially Bianca! Decent continental breakfast, comfortable room, and safe area. We stayed there on our first day in SF, we wanted to rent a car to drive down the coast. There are tons of rental agencies just around the corner, we were able to walk right out of the hotel to get our car. Good place, great price, do it.

Great location, couple blocks from Market St. and Union Square and a block away from Powell-Mason/Hyde Cable car stop. The full room is not that small, good size for a couple. And very clean too. The breakfast is served in a small room in the 5th floor.
