I recently stayed nine nights at this hotel. The bed was very comfortable and the room itself was larger than my bedroom at home! I was not expecting such a large room but had no complaints! An iron/ironing board is provided along with coffeemaker and TV. My only small complaint is that there was no natural light. The window looked out to the small courtyard and despite the hotel having five floors I could not see the sky, but this was not really a problem as it was only a base for seeing the city, I was up and out first thing and not back until late in the evening. Breakfast is in a room on the fifth floor and you bring it back to your room. You had a selection of fruit and pastries - notgreat but better than nothing. The hotel is in a perfect location. To the left you right beside Powell Street and the Cable Cars and Union Square. As a female solo traveller I felt very safe here. There a few homeless people about but if you ignore them, they ignore you. The staff are very helpful and will organise an airport shuttle for you when you are checking out and there loads of restaurants literally footsteps from the hotel (Chinese next door, Italian across the road, Johny Foleys around the corner and the Cheesecake Factory at Macy's). Noise was not a problem as i was on the third floor at the back of the hotel. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.

You get what you pay for, but it was good & clean,
if you are passing by San Fran, single,
not recommended for couple & families.

I would sign up for higher if traveling with wife or family.
Great location thou.

we booked a 2 night stay at this hotel and could not believe how bad value this was. we were given a tiny room overlooking a wall but the worst part was the noise coming from some sort of extractor fan outside, making the window frame anf the wall vibrating. the noise was just unberable especially when you know yiu are paying 500 $ for this. we complained about it, members of the staff looked pretty used to this type of request and gave us another room, even smaller than the first one, still noisy but at least the wall wasn't trembling lol good location but that is about it, if you can avoid the place, i suggest you do.

Found this hotel was in a great location in Union Square but the breakfast room was being renovated so you had to go to a very small room on one floor where there was pastries, juice etc and then take the food back to your room. It was good that the hotel did do something for breakfast but there was not a big selection and the food was nearly gone when I got there and we had to wait for it to be replenished. The bed in our room was extemely hard and so was the pillow. There were no other pillows in the room to see if there was a smaller softer one available. On asking there was no overlay available to make the bed softer. The room was also tiny. Because of this I chose not to stay here when I returned for a further 2 nights. The hotel was a good price especially for the location. If you like a rock hard bed in a tiny room this would be a good choice for you.

The hotel is in a very central location ( a block from Union square at the back) and just around the corner from the central train station and the cable cars central train station! The room was very spacious and so was the bathroom! The breakfast was a bit too simple (coffee, croissants juices and some fruit, if I remember well) and you don't actually sit at a table but you take your train back to your room, but it was still good enough to keep us energetic and full until lunch time! There's also a lounge bar-club just next door which was GREAT! Plus free internet!!!
Would definitely go back there!
