I tried the strawberry balsamic ice cream and it was definitely different and worth the try! I would love to go back and try more flavors :) The staff was very friendly and answered every question we had, definitely going back!

I tried a whole bunch of flavors: strawberry szechuan, chocolate passion fruit, orange clove, fennel something. But I ended up getting the secret breakfast (bourbon and cornflakes)- delicious!!

Some friends took us here after talking up the odd flavours. There were indeed some interesting options today, including black sesame, chocolate smoked sea salt, and orange and clove sorbet. While some of the options are a bit too strong in a stand-alone mode - e.g., butter beer and salted licorice - pairing the right items can fix this. I found the smooth McEvoy olive oil ice cream was a great foil for the heavily salted and only lightly sweet salted licorice ice cream. A friend's boozy choices - butter beer and secret breakfast (bourbon flavoured ice cream with corn flakes mixed in) - worked well together, too. The Blue Bottle Vietnamese coffee ice cream fared very well on its own.

The misses included the orange and clove sorbet, which seemed a little heavy on the clove side, and the chocolate smoked sea salt, which mostly masked the salt and the smoke. Overall, however, this was a very positive experience, and I really appreciated that the ice cream here is not of the extra heavy cream/fat variety, which tends to tone down the taste. I would happily return on my next visit to the area.

Sample before ordering. We tried salt/pepper, bourbon/cornflakes, brown butter, Vietnamese coffee, chocolate stout and balsamic caramel - loved the brown butter and bourbon/cornflakes but didn't like the balsamic caramel. Line out the door, but well worth the wait. Probably the best ice cream I have ever tasted!
