“Great concept and taste”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 22, 2013

Interesting flavors of ice cream made to order, along with various toppings. The ice cream is frozen right in front of you, and has great texture. I wish we had one of these where I live; probably a good thing we don't...

“Best Ice Cream”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 14, 2013

This is the best ice cream I have tried in my 44 years, it's right up there with gelato in Italy. Great ingredients and great show because you see how your ice cream is made in minutes.

“This isn't just a novelty, its science = great food!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 22, 2012

We were taken to Smitten by our Uncle and Aunt, who had talked excitedly about the made to order in 60 seconds ice-cream. This place doesn't disappoint, a curious mix of converted sea-going container and high-tech ice-cream machines "Kelvins" with wooden bench seating. The theatre is in watching the 4 machines, each making an individual flavour, this is where the dry-ice comes into its own. In the UK we regularly see Heston Blumenthal producing liquid nitrogen creamy concoctions - he always eulogises about the lack of crystals and the smooth quality of the ice-cream. Well here at Smitten you can see what al the fuss is about! Its great theatre and fantastic tasting ice-cream. Our part opted for Vanilla, which was super smooth and creamy. We also tried the sticky toffee pudding which was SUBLIME!

Go, you won't be disappointed, as the spectacle of the production and the taste of the end-product excite and amaze.

We loved it!

“An Event!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 12, 2012

You select from 4 constantly changing flavors and the ice cream is made right in front of you. It looks like a scene from Macbeth -- boil, boil, toil and trouble -- but this involves dry ice and lots of fun. Check out the installation in the park across the street. Great fun.

“Ice Cream Made to Order?!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 29, 2012

Stumbled across this place while looking for a restaurant to have dinner at on a Friday night. On the way back we stopped to get a scoop and see what it was all about. I was pleasantly surprised at how they make the ice cream (using liquid nitrogen to freeze it quickly) right before your eyes. I had a Salted Caramel which turned out to be really good. Two little scoops are about $4+ but it was a tasty treat. They have Vanilla, Chocolate and rotate other flavors. Aside from the salted caramel ther was pumpkin flavor to round out the 4 flavors available. They have 4 ice cream making machines and each is dedicated to a flavor. I would definitely try it again. I almost got a couple of schoops of vanilla after sitting there and devouring my first choice. They're open until midnight!
