“I stop here every time I'm in San Francisco”

Found this little cafe when I was staying at the Powell Hotel once and make it a point to stop for breakfast no matter where I'm staying at. They have a lot of breakfast options and don't charge you an arm and leg for it. Last time in town I had the egg, tomato and avocado sandwich on a plain bagel for three days in a row!

“Great breakfast spot near Union Square hotels”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 15, 2011

Great alternative to Starbucks if you are staying at Parc55, Hotel Nikko or Hilton! Delicious pastry case, bagels with all the fixings, egg sandwiches and 8 different kinds of brewed cafe. Coffee is self-serve so if you are like and like mix flavors - or mix decaf and regular, you can do whatever you want. Stools and counters along the windows facilitate people-watching on Cyril Magnin, busy here with people exiting from Muni and BART.

“Nice Little Place”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 30, 2011

I was at a conference in the Parc 55 Wyndham hotel that started earlier than most of us would have liked. True, there's a Starbucks a few blocks up, but it was cold outside, even in August, and it's not the nicest or prettiest neighborhood. Barbary Coast was right outside of the hotel, in the same building really. The coffee is good, and the menu is fairly extensive, with breakfast sandwiches, fruit, hard-boiled eggs, and lots of pastries. I got the mocha and a donut the times that I was there, and they were always satisfying. Fair warning though, it's cash only.

I never stayed to eat inside, but it looked nice, and the staff were friendly and efficient.
