We stumbled upon this gem just a few blocks from our hotel. They cook fresh, made to order organic food. All of the choices looked great, but we both ordered the organic small batch granola with locally prepared yogurt and fresh fruit. Fantastic! The atmosphere is casual yet artsy. They are open till 11:00 p.m. Their dinner menu looked very interesting-worth a try!

Had lunch here while exploring the Filmore shopping district. The atmosphere is unique and the old building and furnishings are eye catching and add to a unique experience. Most importantly, the food we chose was outstanding. The French Onion soup with toasted cheese bread on top was very tasty. The chicken pot pie was wonderful and the crust was perfect with lots of chicken. These two dishes were great to share and made of a delicious lunch.

We (7 of us) ate here before a show and were very pleased with all our choices. Very fresh and creative choices on the menu. Soups and salads.

We have visited Grove twice. One orders food at the counter and then it is brought to your table. This last time, my wife's steak (requested rare) arrive quite over done, but the waiter quickly replaced it. My pork/beef meatballs in a tomato sauce were quite tasty. Our side salads were quite good. The noise level is somewhat off putting and in better weather, a reasonable solution to this is to eat at the several tables on the sidewalk.

Located in the middle of the entertainment section (ballet, opera, jazz) of SF, this is a welcome addition to the area's restaurants. If you don't mind waiting in line to order your food, sitting at relatively small tables, and (maybe) having lines of people checking out your plate, come on in! The food was well prepared and priced comparable to more formal "sit down" restaurants ($15.50 for salad and coffee). The staff were pleasant and checked in frequently. Food was delivered quickly and well prepared.
