The staff were great and attentive. The room had 2 large bathrooms with one bedroom and a separate sitting area with a pull out sofa bed, so we had plenty of space. The location was great with many shops and restaurants in walking distance. We would recommend this hotel to others and would definitely stay here again!

I chose this property mainly due to tripadvisor recommendations. The hotel was much better than I expected. Although the room was a bit small, it was very serviceable. Temperature was fine, bathroom was clean and had plenty of room, and the bed was comfortable. My only minor issue was that there were foam pillows, and I prefer feather. The location is great also. If you have a car, parking on the street within a block was easy. I didn't have to pay $28 valet fee. Also, the location is only one block from Van ness street and close to the freeway. One more thing is that I was able to use my AAA card for a very decent rate discount. Overall I would definitely return to the Inn at the Opera.

We have stayed here many times since 2009 and will continue to stay in the future. The recent update to the restaurant is wonderful. The Breakfast that is included with the room is one of my favorite parts of staying there. It includes muffins, croissants, coffee cakes, hard boiled eggs, bagels, toast, cream cheese, tomatoes, dry cereal, oatmeal, fresh fruit, coffee, assorted teas, and juices. Each room has a little refrigerator, sink, microwave, and dishes. Just right for storing and heating up the yummy leftovers from the amazing restaurants near by. The staff is very helpful and friendly. There are cookies at the front desk and always a smile and kind greeting. It feels very safe and is close to the opera house, symphony, library, and next to the SF School of Ballet.

Room Tip: The Boxing Room restaurant one block away was very good. I also love Arlequin with it's quaint...

Stayed at Inn at the Opera. It was a great place. Very clean, great service, close to everthing! Every single person that worked there was very nice to us! Would recommend the place in a second.
It was also very convenient to all the popular locations around the city. We were able to walk just about everywhere around town without a problem.

We took our 6 and 9 year old kids and wanted a place with two rooms. The place has a small two bedroom suite that was really reasonable ($207/night). They have really good continental breakfast and it's centrally located. We mainly took buses and a couple of times cable cars. Several bus lines run by there so we were able to get around SF really easily. I would definitely stay there again.

Nice little hotel in a good location. Close to public transport at the BART/MUNI and buses/streetcars on Market St. Area around Civic Center not so nice, but we always felt safe enough. The room was very small and overall expensive, but I think this is expected in SF. Complimentary breakfast was very welcome. Staff were always friendly and helpful.

This was our third stay at this hotel and each time seems to get better. This is a small hotel not unlike one might expect in London. The lobby is well appointed and bright. The front desk staff are friendly and efficient. Room cleanliness is excellent and the hotel does constant maintenance and improvements on an ongoing basis. Carpet replacement and flat screen televisions are a recent upgrade. Located in the Civic Center area and up and coming Hayes Valley, this hotel is only a short 15 minute walk to the downtown area.
The Inn is a great value with breakfast included in the newly renovated dining room that has a new Scandinavian dinner menu which looked interesting and decently priced.
An extemely well managed hotel from management to maintenance staff.

Room Tip: The suites are a great value and accommodate four people easily as ours had two full bathrooms. Chec...
