We stayed here for 3 nights after the long flight from London. We had a very nice suite where the teenager had privacy without being alone. It was a great place to get over our jet lag, comfy beds, luxury and quiet.
However I could not get having to get two lifts to get to our room and reception being on the 4th or 5th floor. It confused me every time.
We liked the tea and coffee in the morning in the lobby, I found the concierge helpful but not very patient, maybe it was the jet lag! Location is good for shopping and probably for business.
The gym is a huge big local gym which the hotel guests have access to, we found it a little intimidating, However massages very good.
In summary, this was a good start to out California adventure!

Room Tip: The suites are a good size for travelling with children/teens

"Thank you for taking the time and writing about your recent experience with us here in San Francisco. We are excited to hear that you had a great time with us and hope that we will be able to welcome you back in the near future. I am happy to hear the entire family got the Best Coast Adventure off to a great start; despite having a lobby on the fifth floor!" Doug Housley

From start to finish the service and our stay at Four Seasons SF has been phenomenal and nothing less than 5 star! On every level, service, room size and comfort, concierge, dining, amenities etc etc, we cannot have been more pleased during our 3 night stay. We opted for an executive suite with a toddler in tow and loved the amount of space that the room had. There was even a kid's size bathrobe waiting in the closet. Nice touch! Location is great with plenty of shops, chemist, banks/ATMs and dining options galore. Our check in coincided with the SF Giants parade and so the streets were blocked off and concierge did a great job of directing our taxi driver and us when we got stuck and even greeted us by name upon arrival .. we felt truly special and like top guests. Although it is on the pricey side, if you want luxury and top class service, there is really no other choice but Four Seasons SF! It's a no brainer in our opinion and we enjoy staying in luxury hotels and this is definitely one of the best. It made the final leg of our SF trip extremely enjoyable and felt like home away from home.

"Thank you very much for your detailed comments about your recent stay. We appreciate your feedback as this is the best gauge by which we can measure our success and make changes where necessary and appropriate. We will certainly share your insights with the entire team and hope that we will have the opportunity to welcome you back soon. It was very fortunate that you were in town the World Series Champion SF Giants celebration! It was quite the spectacle. GO GIANTS!!”

Always a winner. Not cheap but does not disappoint. Great bar and breakfast was good too. Having the awesome gym is nice too. Rooms far better than slightly cheaper luxury brands and front desk and concierge very good.

This is our second time staying here. You wouldn't even know it was located in the building. You take an elevator up to the hotel. The rooms are very comfortable with the usual Four Seasons flair. It's the service that makes the difference. They are there to help you with whatever you need! The food although on the pricey side is excellent!

Room Tip: Stayed on the back side of Market st. Quieter than being on Market

When we checked in we had to call and find the parking garage, as it is tucked in an alley behind the hotel. When we reached the front desk we were greeted by name and it was impeccable service from then on. The rooms are appointed with great amenities and coming back after a long night to the turn down service was wonderful. Good location, great city views and superb staff! Wish it had been more than a single nights stay.
