Great hotel with lots of room unlike most places in San Fran. Of course, you pay for the space in this city of small spaces.... Convenient to the Moscone Center and not too far from the subway station about 4 blocks.

Room Tip: They're all pretty good from what I could tell.

I was extremely pleased with this hotel. The service that I received from this staff was exceptional. The downtown views were impressive. The rooms were nice and very comfortable. The bed was so comfortable with very soft pillows. The rate was very reasonable as well. I look forward to another visit at this incredible hotel!

Stayed one night last week.

We switched from the Grand Hyatt SFO .... and what a difference that made.

Location is poor - relative to Grand Hyatt - but our night's sleep was the best amongst our 12 days trip in the USA. The pillows (choice of firm/soft) are wonderful.

The bell boys (Cantonese guy..... cannot remember his name) is so helpful.....cannot say the same for the front desk.

We chose this hotel because of the location and the price. It's walkable from the Powell Street BART station (your cheapest option from the airport) and the neighborhood felt safe even at night. It's easy to get to many places downtown if you like to walk and cabs are available if you don't. We even rented a Zipcar that was located just down the block and across the street. The Muni, BART, and Caltrain are very easy to get to.
The hotel itself was clean, the staff friendly, the bar cozy and welcoming. We really liked the lobby. It was comfortable and a nice place to be if you didn't want to stay in your room. We have stayed at the Hyatt Embarcadero previously, and though it's a nice hotel, I'd say we actually preferred this one, especially since it was about $100 cheaper per night.

Thank you for your kind review. I am so glad our location worked well for you. We often hear guests say they prefer our location because it’s a few short blocks to all the great San Francisco sites but also has the feel of a boutique hotel in a quiet and safe neighborhood. Again, thanks for taking the time to write your review. We appreciate it! Debbie Bonafede, General Manager

I thought this was one of the nicer Courtyards I have ever stayed in that is in a downtown location.

It is easy to find, park your car (valet), and get into the hotel.

The rooms were clean, and the staff was helpful.

I stayed here for a convention, and the prices here were the best in the city. It is definitely close enough to the Moscone Center to walk, and close to plenty of eating options. You are also a nice walk (or a $5.00 cab ride) from Union Square, so great shopping is at your fingertips.

I would totally stay here again if I had to go back for a convention. You don't typically spend a lot of time in your hotel at a convention, so I didn't need a spectacular hotel room. This hotel still has the older Courtyard design, but the lobby is nice (and they have a Starbucks), and the hotel restaurant is decent. Free wi-fi is a plus.

Its a clean safe place to sleep.

Stayed 4 nights and this Courtyard should be viewed as the Model for all other Courtyards. Staff--Excellent; Food/Drink--Excellent; Rooms--Excellent. From the bed and bedding to the bath/shower--all excellent. The breakfast buffet was delicious with numerous healthy choices and what tasted like fresh squeezed orange juice; plus, a full service Starbucks with an entrance from the hotel lobby. Light dinners in bar area are surprisingly tasty and healthy and the bar staff are some of the finest we encountered in San Francisco.

Housekeeping staff (Hanna) are unsung heroes: professional, attentive, thorough and thoughtful.

Room Tip: Corner suites are definitely worth it--we had room 1731--great views, very quiet, great hvac control...

Nothing particularly bad about this hotel, it's just generally unremarkable. It's well located in the heart of soma, an easy walk to the bay, market street etc. everything works fine and is generally clean, but it's more a place to sleep than a joy to stay at, and the breakfast was poor. Gym is small. Staff are generally friendly and responsive. If you can get a good deal, great, if you happen to be booking when there's a big conference on, the prices are super expensive.
