The place is not as big as other museums but I found myself immersed with many of the art pieces. Simply wonderful! :)

This so called museum (really a piece of crap) is the biggest scam SF has to offer. I am not the only one that feels this way just look through the reviews, I call for a boycott of there anniversary event!!!! you can see the pixels in the art work... come on people open your eyes and see the truth this is a fraud and that new director they hired was from the sex museum in Vegas who are they fooling if they wanted to be considered a high class art museum that was the wrong move. The only thing they had going was the friendliness of there original staff and of course they changed that now there customer service matches the crap they have inside. This is just a front to cover up and make money for their cult no matter how far they try to distance themselves from it that's what they are just read there plaques on the art work he is not god... it's all garbage

This place was a genuine disappointment. Expensive entry fee, scary part of town, very limited exhibits (2 floors) and almost all asian art. If it were billed as a museum of asian art then i would have at least known what to expect. I'm not a fan of asian landscapes and was expecting a broader mix of international art. The 2 x 70 million dollar sculptures looked like high end copperart. This is the only negative review i have ever posted and i hope it will be my last. It's just a really limited display and not worth the money (nor the 3 bored security guards who have guard it all day long)
