Description: Gott's Roadside is a different kind of burger joint. We serve juicy cheeseburgers with thick chocolate shakes, but our versions of these American classics are made-to-order from top-notch, locally sourced ingredients. Our menu goes beyond the beef to include a renowned Ahi tuna burger, fresh salads and tacos. Try finding those at your average drive-in. Our commitment to local sourcing also extends to the glass: our list of California wines and beers means you can order a cheeseburger with a high-end Napa Valley cabernet, or sip a San Francisco-brewed Anchor Steam alongside your spicy, sweet potato fries.

“Great, good family food.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 20, 2012

My son is a picky burger eater. They made a great one with terrific fries. I got to have a Fried Green Tomato BLT on homemade whole wheat bread. It was a great meal and afterwards we strolled through the Ferry Building Stores and market. They had a small but varied market. Prices were very reasonable and service was really fast. You can eat inside or a lovely patio.

Glad we ate before strolling-- the foods and specialties were quite entice.

“Really Good Burgers”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 19, 2012

We were three carnivores craving cheeseburgers. We thought about heading toward Fisherman's Wharf to the In 'N Out (we're fans), but decided instead to try Gott's....and we were really glad we did! Prices are higher than any national burger/fast food chain joint, but the size of the burgers and overall quality really improve the value proposition here. Thick, tasty, juicy double cheeseburgers paired with fresh garlic fries and a cold beer (or was it two?) made for a delicious late afternoon lunch when we visited the Gott's location in the Ferry Building. The menu is pretty simple: a few fish/fish taco choices, some chicken choices, couple of hot dog choices, a few salads and some of the best burgers you'll ever taste. You can also get milkshakes, wine or sodas if beer isn't to your liking.

You can eat inside or head outside and enjoy some terrific people watching along the embarcadero, and also enjoy the farmer's market activities that happen at various times throughout the week. You're also only a very short walk to the California Cable Car line, which is always the least crowded way to enjoy your obligatory San Francisco Cable Car ride (which we did.) We'd definitely go back again!

“Food is O.K. and it is expensive.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 6, 2012

We had the fish tacos and a hamburguer with sweet potato fries. The tacos were fine but 2 tacos for $ 10.00 I think is expensive. The sweet potato fries were very thin.

I recommend taking a look at the back of the Ferry building, there are some other good options to eat.

“Best Food in the City”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 22, 2012

I love this place. I have been many times and I have never been disappointed. The food is made fresh, so it is always hot. The sweet potato fries, Ahi Burger and Chicken Tenders are among my favorites. The shakes are also great. Sometimes the line can be intimidating but it is worth the wait. Or just phone ahead and pick up inside 20 minutes later. Awesome spot to hang lunch and then visit the farmer's market outside the Ferry Building.

“Don't miss those fish tacos!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 17, 2012

Had a lovely sunny afternoon late lunch at Gott's. Fish tacos, sweet potatoe fries and chilled white wine --what could be better? The food is tasty and the price is right--don't miss it!
