Incredible! Off the chart! We ate practically everything on the chalkboard and then circled back on several because we couldn't believe how stupidly fresh and good everything was. The sake flights were a great way to sample the deeelicious selection and preview the large bottles. This evening smashed pretty much every
sashimi bite we've gobbled this year. Great service! Amazing amazing fresh fish and supa dupa Sake.

I stayed at Sleep Over Sauce hotel for two nights. This restaurant is just round the corner from the hotel and I had dinner there twice. The first time, i had a tempura udon, salmon sushi and chawamushi. The second time was just all sushi. Overall I think the sushi quality is very good but their udon is only average and the chawamushi is the worst.

Worthwhile to go for the sushi but make sure you make a reservation if you intend to go for dinner on Fri or Sat. Tough finding seats otherwise.

Otoro Sushi was by far and away the best dining experience we had during our visit to San Francisco! We made our reservation through open table and gave ourselves thirty minutes to get there but couldn't find parking and found we were running late. Called the restaurant to let them know we were running late and they were very understanding. Fifteen minutes later, we arrived to a very full Otoro Sushi restaurant and several people waiting to be seated. However, we were very pleased (and grateful) to find they had held our table for us and seated us immediately upon our arrival!!! Wow, outstanding service! They raised the bar even higher when we tasted the food; edamame, tempura shrimp and vegies, dragon and spider sushi rolls, were all delicious! The service was very prompt and courteous allowing us plenty of time to walk to the symphony. Highly recommend Otoro Sushi and we will definitely make a point to dine there during our next visit to San Francisco!

We stumbled across Otoro as we were staying just round the corner (Sleep Over Sauce). This is a lovely little restaurant with excellent service and brilliant food. The highlight for us was the pork kakuni (the best we've ever had and we've tasted many!), the pork belly just melts in your mouth and the sauce was just perfect. Their menu is very different and not the usual japanese sushi/teriyaki stuff - they have hot and cold tapas style plates. Check out the menu on their website and you'll get the idea. Not to miss and will definitely return if we ever get a chance to visit SF.
